Oldham residents celebrate as £1,000 prize claimed on their postcode

The Postcode Lottery picks its lucky winners by drawing random postcodes in a daily draw to win £1,000.

Players in the postcode of OL4 2NW were delighted earlier this week as they were selected for the daily prize.

The postcode relates to a number of properties on Priestwood Avenue in Moorside.

Participants sign up with their postcode and pay £12.50 per month, which enters into every draw as prizes are announced every day of the month.

Subscriptions to the Postcode Lottery support a number of charities around the UK, with at least 30 per cent of the ticket price going to charitable causes.

Postcode Lottery manages the lotteries for 20 individual charities, each of which has one draw a month.

The lottery is hugely popular nationally and has raised more than £1.5 billion for organisations and projects across the country.
