North East man who ‘fancied chances’ on lottery ticket wins ‘life changing’ £1m

The Northumberland-based winner, who has not been named, scooped £1 million in the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker draw on May 1, taking home one of 10 guaranteed prizes in the special UK Millionaire Maker event.
He said: “I fancied my chances on the UK Millionaire Maker event, so I bought a ticket.
“I couldn’t believe it when I realised that I had actually won.
“This means that my life can totally change and I can look forward to an amazing future in my own home.”
The man now plans to put his prize towards buying a new home, and has vowed to treat his mates to a round of coffees to celebrate.
