What a way to start the weekend
Irish Lotto bosses have confirmed that one very lucky player in the southwest of the country woke up €1 million richer after scooping top prize in an Ireland-only draw last night.
The punter, who the National Lottery confirmed this morning bought their ticket at a shop in Co Kerry, holds a winning ticket worth an incredible €1,005,000.
The player purchased their Quick Pick ticket yesterday – and while they may not have bagged the jackpot – their raffle number has made them a millionaire. The winning raffle number is: I-VBD-36131.
The winning retail location will be announced in the coming days.
Elsewhere, there was a handy win in Dublin as a SuperValu shopper bought a ticket matching five numbers in the main EuroMillions draw. The player bought their Quick Pick ticket from a SuperValu in Crumlin and takes home €18,384.
The numbers in last night’s EuroMillions draw (21st August) were: 10, 14, 15, 19, 45 and the Lucky Stars were 4 and 12.
National Lottery spokesperson, Emma Monaghan, advised: “Both winners should sign the back of their tickets, keep them safe and contact our Prize Claims team!”
In every EuroMillions draw, ten players win €5,000 in the Ireland-only raffle. On Friday night, one of those winners had an additional €1,000,000 added to their prize, making them the latest National Lottery millionaire of the year.
