A New Jersey lottery player won $1 million in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing.
There was no jackpot winner and only one ticket sold in the Garden State matched all five white balls to win the million-dollar prize, according to the Powerball website.
It was not immediately known where in New Jersey the winning ticket was sold.
Powerball jackpot hits $478 million
With no jackpot winner, the Powerball will increase to an estimated $478 million with a cash value of $212.2 million for Monday night’s drawing.
The jackpot was last won on May 2 when lottery players from Florida and Texas split a $20 million jackpot. This came after lottery players in Kansas and Indiana split a $143.4 million jackpot in the prior drawing.
