National Lottery Lotto and Thunderball winning numbers for Wednesday, May 6

There is a whopping £2m Lotto jackpot and a Thunderball prize of £500k up for grabs in tonight’s National Lottery draw.

The winning National Lottery Lotto numbers will be drawn at 8pm while the National Lottery Thunderball numbers are drawn shortly after at around 8.15pm.

The National Lottery says it creates over nine million winners each week, with an average of seven new millionaires.

Half of all money spent by players goes to the prize fund with 28% to good causes, 12% to the UK Government as duty, 5% to retailers, and 5% which has operated the lottery throughout its history. For money-saving tips, sign up to our Money newsletter here

Since it was set up the lottery has awarded more than £95bn in prizes and created more than 7,400 millionaires.
