Multiple lucky Texans claimed over $9.5 million in lottery prizes
This $7.5 million dollar winning ticket was claimed in League City while others claimed $1 million prizes this week in Texas.
Multiple Texas residents have claimed millions of dollars worth of prizes.
Over $9.5 million in lottery prizes have been claimed, according to the Texas Lottery Commission, with three residents taking home prizes of $7.5 million, $1 million, and $1 million.
“I was on my way to drop my dog off to get groomed when I stopped in a gas station to get a drink and decided to buy some scratch tickets,” said the claimant, who elected to remain anonymous. After scoring several wins in a row, the claimant decided to buy a few more tickets – and one of them gave him a big shock. “After scratching it, I realized I’d won the top prize – then my hands started shaking and I tried not to have a heart attack!”
This was the second of four top prizes worth $7.5 million to be claimed in this game.
“It was very unexpected,” the claimant added. “We hope it will be a generational gift we can pass on to our daughter and set her up to live a little more securely than we were expecting.”
The next winner was a $1 million prize winner out of Cypress. They won playing the scratch ticket game $1,000,000 Riches. The ticket was purchased at Victory Liquor & Smoke, located at 7350 Jackrabbit Road, in Houston. This was the second of four top prizes worth $1 million to be claimed in this game.
The ticket was purchased at Walmart Supercenter #228, located at 1616 W. Henderson St., in Cleburne.
“I had other people check my ticket to make sure I’d won,” said Borjas. When he realized he won, he experienced a mix of emotions, saying he was “happy for my family, especially my grandkids. I plan to invest in my son and daughter and my grandkids’ education.”
