A provisional list of applicants will be published on May 5, followed by an objection window until May 8. The final list of accepted applications will be released on May 12, culminating in the lottery draw results on May 15, 2026.

The inventory for the 2026 draw is distributed across several established and developing neighborhoods. Of the 2,640 total units, 1,762 are currently under construction, while 559 were received by MHADA from private developers under various housing stock schemes, and 319 are classified as scattered apartments across existing colonies.

Eligibility for the lottery is strictly divided by annual family income. The EWS category is reserved for those earning up to ₹6 lakh per annum, while the LIG bracket covers incomes between ₹6 lakh and ₹9 lakh. The MIG category is for those earning between ₹9 lakh and ₹12 lakh, and the HIG category applies to anyone with a family income exceeding ₹12 lakh. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a Maharashtra Domicile Certificate (minimum 15 years residency), and must not own a residential property within the same municipal jurisdiction.

All applications must be submitted digitally through the official MHADA housing portal at https://housing.mhada.gov.in. Even those already registered from previous years are required to submit a fresh application for the 2026 cycle. The process requires a valid Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, and Income Tax Returns (ITR) for FY 2024-25. For the separate “First-Come, First-Served” inventory of 120 unsold units, users must use the bookmyhome.mhada.gov.in portal, which allows for real-time unit selection and immediate 10% payment to secure a booking.
