Mega Millions Ticket Purchased in Waterloo Wins $2 Million Prize – KCHA NEWS – Charles City’s News, Weather & Sports

A Mega Millions® ticket sold in Northeast Iowa Friday (06.05) is good for a $2 million prize.
The Iowa Lottery says the winning ticket, purchased at Walmart, 1334 Flammang Drive in Waterloo, matched the first five numbers in Friday’s drawing to win the $2 million prize. It was just one number away from claiming the $368 million jackpot, missing only the Mega Ball.
Friday’s winning numbers were 13-30-50-52-66 and Mega Ball 2. The Waterloo ticket was the only one in the country to win at the Match-5 level on Friday.
Walmart will receive a $2,000 bonus from the Iowa Lottery for selling the $2 million-winning ticket.
Mega Millions prizes won in Iowa must be claimed at the Iowa Lottery’s main office in Clive within 180 days of the drawing.
The lottery reminds players to check their tickets carefully. A big win could be waiting.
