Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots near $1 billion combined
With no recent jackpot winners, the Mega Millions and Powerball grand prizes have climbed to a combined total of nearly $1 billion, fueling excitement ahead of this week’s drawings.
The top national lottery jackpots are climbing, and combined, they are nearing $1 billion in grand prizes.
The Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots have surpassed $550 million and $400 million respectively after each went an extended period without a jackpot winner. Currently, the Mega Millions sits at $576 million while the Powerball sits at $416 million.
The next Mega Millions drawing is set for Tuesday, July 7 at 11 p.m. with the estimated top prize of $576 million and a cash option of $253.9 million.
If a player wins Tuesday’s jackpot, it would be the third time the jackpot has been won in 2026, and it also would mark the largest Mega Millions jackpot won this year. Tuesday’s drawing will be the 32nd drawing since the jackpot was last won March 17 when one ticket purchased in Ohio won the $60 million jackpot.
The next Powerball drawing is Monday night, with a prize of $416 million and a cash value of $186.6 million. That drawing will take place at 11 p.m. and Powerball costs $2 per play.
The last Powerball jackpot win took place on April 29 where an Indiana and Kansas player won a $129 million jackpot.
Powerball drawings are broadcast live every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee, Fla. Powerball drawings are also live streamed on Powerball.com. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
