A Malden man won a $1 million prize after purchasing a lottery ticket at Kowloon Restaurant in Saugus, the Massachusetts State Lottery announced.

Weiju Huang chose the cash option and received a one-time payment of $650,000, before taxes.

Huang told lottery officials he plans to use the “$4,000,000 Cash Doubler” ticket winnings to pay for a new car.

The Chinese restaurant at 948 Broadway will receive a $10,000 bonus for the ticket sale, according to the lottery.

Kowloon, one of Greater Boston’s most iconic restaurants, has been on the map for more than 75 years and is now expanding to Revere Beach. Its Saugus location is also expected to undergo renovations and downsize when an apartment complex is built at the site.
