Lexington man wins $100K lottery prize on first-ticket purchased

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A Lexington man won $100,000 in the Kentucky Lottery on the first-ticket he ever bought.

Frank Arrazola was headed back from a Cincinnati trip when he and a friend stopped for gas. He decided to spend his change on a lottery ticket by chance. He bought the $5 ticket with a chance to win $100,000.

He scratched off the ticket in the car, and saw the $100,000. Arrazola says he told his friend to turn around, and they went back to scan it. He had won $100,000, and it was his first time ever playing the lottery.

Arrazola says he plans on spending the money by investing in education, and to help his family. “This win is a blessing, and it will help us keep building our story,” Arazzola says.
