Last chance to claim eye-watering EuroMillions prize expiring this WEEK
ONE lucky ticket holder has won a EuroMillions prize of more than £170,000 – but they have just three days to claim it.
Potential winners have been urged to “check their kitchen drawers” and “spread the word”.
The National Lottery have announced a EuroMillions prize, valued at more than £170,000, has yet to be claimed following a draw on January 16.
The lucky winner bought the ticket in Watford and matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star number.
Now, the lottery is making a final appeal to players before the claim deadline at midnight on Wednesday July 15.
The EuroMillions numbers in the draw were 5, 17, 24, 29, 50 and the Lucky Star numbers were 5 and 10.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: “Time is now running out for this mystery winner.
“In just one week, the deadline to claim this £177,547.30 EuroMillions prize will expire, so we’re asking everyone who may have bought a ticket in the area to make one last thorough check.
“We’d also ask people to spread the word. Talk to friends, family, neighbours and colleagues who may have played EuroMillions back in January.
“Our priority is making sure this prize reaches its rightful owner before the deadline passes and this incredible opportunity is lost forever.”
If gone unclaimed by the deadline, the prize money will be funnelled into helping National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
The projects include preserving British landmarks, helping young people and supporting local community groups.
