Irish Lotto results as player wins €48,618 in Saturday night’s draw

One Irish Lotto player narrowly missed out on the €5,915,657 jackpot on Saturday, July 4, by just one number.

Saturday night’s Irish Lotto draw produced a dramatic near miss for one player, who came within touching distance of the staggering €5,915,657 jackpot.

While nobody managed to scoop the top prize, one lucky ticket holder was just a single number away from becoming the country’s newest multi millionaire.

The player matched five of the six main numbers, plus the bonus, to win a massive consolation prize of €48,618. The winning combination was 6, 17, 18, 27, 38, 42 and bonus 39.

It proved to be the biggest win of the night by far. 18 players who matched five numbers without the bonus snagged prizes of €1,620 each.

The Lotto Plus 1 jackpot of €1 million also went unclaimed, but one player scooped €5,000 after matching five of the six numbers plus the bonus.

Similarly the Lotto Plus 2 jackpot of €250,000 saw no winner, but 17 players will get €250 each for matching five numbers.

Meanwhile, the Irish Lotto Raffle awarded €500 to 85 winners.

These are among over 88,000 players across Ireland who won prizes in Saturday night’s draw. National Lottery officials are appealing for everyone to check their numbers carefully.

A spokesperson said: “There was no winner of the Lotto jackpot. In total, over 88,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws including one winner of the Match 5 + Bonus prize of €48,618.”

Lotto Plus 1 – 4, 11, 19, 26, 29, 30 and bonus 45.

Lotto Plus 2 – 4, 6, 26, 28, 33, 41 and bonus 20.

Winning Raffle number – 4970.
