Irish EuroMillions player scoops life-changing jackpot as urgent appeal issued

Players are being urged to check their tickets from Friday night’s draw

The National Lottery has issued an urgent appeal to Irish EuroMillions players after one lucky punter scooped a life-changing sum in Friday night’s draw.

While there was no outright winner of the massive €17 million up for grabs, one Irish player will be celebrating after scooping a massive six-figure prize.

The lucky individual won the top prize in the EuroMillions Plus draw by matching all five numbers correctly. These were 05, 07, 09, 32 and 37.

The ticketholder stands to take home a life-changing prize of €500,000 but as of now, has yet to come forward. National Lottery bosses have issued an urgent appeal for players to check their numbers carefully.

Lotto chiefs have confirmed that the huge prize was won by an online player in Co Cork and that a notification has been sent to the winner advising them to log in and check their National Lottery account.

Online players are now being urged to check to see if they have bagged the huge prize in Friday’s draw.

The jackpot winner is advised to contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to visit the Winners Room in Lottery Headquarters to collect their prize.

The lucky EuroMillions Plus jackpot winner isn’t the only Irish player celebrating a big win on Friday, as another punter scooped a five-figure prize in the main draw.

The online player from Co Dublin matched five numbers in Friday’s EuroMillions draw to bag €11,454. The numbers to look out for are: 04, 07, 14, 22, 23 and the Lucky Stars are 01 and 07.

National Lottery spokesperson, Emma Monaghan, said “It’s been a brilliant start to the weekend for EuroMillions players in Cork and Dublin, with two online players waking up to exciting prize notifications this morning. In Cork, one player has scooped the EuroMillions Plus top prize worth €500,000, while a Dublin player has also won €11,454 after matching five numbers in the main EuroMillions draw.

“We’re encouraging online players in both Cork and Dublin to check their National Lottery accounts carefully today – there could be a very exciting email notification waiting!”

In total, more than 51,000 Irish players scored prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games.

There were 10 winners in the Ireland Only raffle, who will each take home a prize of €5,000. The winning Ireland Only Raffle numbers are:
