Housing lottery winding down for three units in LIC, rent at $2,117 – QNS

Approximately two weeks remain to sign up for a housing lottery for three units at 38-16 Crescent St. in Long Island City.

All three units in the housing lottery are intended for those earning 80% of the area median income and with an asset limit of $129,600. They are each one-bedroom units that cost $2,117 a month in rent. Up to three people can reside in one of these units, as long as they combine for an annual income of $81,223-$116,640.

Each unit features a dishwasher, a washer, a dryer, air conditioning, hardwood floors, a patio or balcony, smart controls for heating and cooling, cable or satellite TV, intercommunication devices and high-end kitchen appliances, countertops and finishes. The building is pet-friendly, with pet deposits only applying for those weighing more than 50 pounds. Tenants will be responsible for electricity, including the electric stove, heat and hot water.

Other amenities available to residents include a rooftop terrace, security cameras, an on-site resident manager, an elevator and an accessible entrance. There are multiple outdoor areas nearby, including jogging/walking/bike paths, which contribute to a pedestrian-friendly walk score. Smoking is not allowed in the building.

Some of the notable nearby outdoor areas include Queensbridge Park, the Dutch Kills Playground and the Ravenswood Playground. Additionally, the Ravenswood Library, Community School 111Q Jacob Blackwell, P.S. 76Q The William Hallet School, VOICE Charter School of New York, the Oliver Wendell Holmes Intermediate School, ATLAS High School and the Academy of American Studies are all close to the property.

There is also access to public transportation within close proximity to the property, including the 21st Street-Queensbridge subway station, which provides service for the F and M trains, the Queensboro Plaza subway station, which provides service for the 7, N and W trains, the Queens Plaza subway station, which provides service for the E, F and R trains, the 36th Street subway station, which provides service for the E, F, M and R trains, and the 36th and 39th Avenue subway stations, which both provide service for the N and W trains. Bus stops can also be found in the area for the Q39, Q63, Q66, Q69, Q101, Q102, Q103 and B62 lines.
