Fayetteville native Poole appointed to state lottery commiss…

RALEIGH — Robert “Jason” Poole, CPA, CGMA, has been appointed by State Auditor Dave Boliek to serve on the North Carolina State Lottery Commission.
“I am honored to be appointed by State Auditor Boliek to serve on the North Carolina State Lottery Commission,” Poole said. “I look forward to working with my fellow commissioners to uphold public trust and ensure there is accountability in gaming in North Carolina.”
Poole is a partner with TRP Sumner, PLLC, and has more than two decades of experience in accounting, financial reporting, management consulting, auditing and tax services. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant who has worked with businesses and organizations across North Carolina.
A native of Fayetteville, Poole earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accounting from East Carolina University. He has held several leadership roles throughout his career, including serving as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a board member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, chairman of the East Carolina University Board of Trustees, chair of the NCACPA Advocacy Advisory Council and president of the NCACPA Foundation.
“Jason Poole is a respected financial professional with a strong record of leadership and service to North Carolina,” Boliek said. “His expertise in accounting, governance and fiscal oversight will be a solid asset to the North Carolina State Lottery Commission.”
