Engineer scoops top prize in ‘extraordinary’ lottery win

The winner, a man in his 50s from Pevensey, scooped the National Lottery Set for Life prize after matching five main numbers in the draw on June 25.

The engineer had only been playing Set for Life for four weeks when his Lucky Dip ticket delivered the life-changing win.

Speaking about the win, he said: “It’s been extraordinary, amazing and completely overwhelming.

“It just hasn’t fully sunk in that I’ve won The National Lottery.

“To win so soon after starting to play Set for Life feels almost too good to be true.

“I can’t wait to spoil my partner and know we’ve got that extra security behind us.”

He now plans to treat his partner with gifts and a holiday, and put some of the winnings into savings.
