East Lancashire street celebrates £1,000 win in Postcode Lottery

The winning ticket was in Barrowford, and those with a ticket in the BB9 8ND postcode were awarded the prize.

Residents living on Gisburn Road were those in the lucky area during the draw on Saturday, May 16.

Subscriptions to the Postcode Lottery support a range of charities across the UK, with a minimum of 33 per cent of ticket prices going to good causes.

Every day, there are £1,000 prizes to be won for every ticket in 20 postcodes.

The Postcode Lottery also manages lotteries for 20 charities.

The lottery is hugely popular nationally and supports “a wide range of charities and good causes across Britain and around the world.”

To date, they’ve provided more than £1.1 billion in funding, which is helping thousands of organisations and projects.
