Connecticut Lottery player claims $2 million from $20 scratch-off ticket

A Plantsville resident claimed $2 million on May 29 from a game of $2,000,000 Mega Multiplier. The Connecticut Lottery player purchased the winning scratch-off ticket from a Citgo location at 960 Meriden Waterbury Turnpike in Plantsville.
The top prize of $2 million can be paid to winners either as a $2 million 20-year annuity or a one-time gross cash option of $1.5 million, according to Connecticut Lottery’s website.
To play $2,000,000 Mega Multiplier, players must match their numbers to any of the winning numbers to win the prize amount shown below the matching numbers. Players may receive a 2X, 5X, 10X, 20X, 50X, 100X or 200X symbol on their tickets, which can multiply their winnings.
Prizes range from $20 to $2 million, according to Connecticut Lottery’s website.
