Aussie lottery winner reveals how he’ll spend $15 million fortune

P?atience has paid off big time for a Victorian man who became an instant multi-millionaire in last night’s Oz Lotto draw.

The resident of Horsham in the state’s west pocketed $15 million by holding one of the two division one winning entries in draw 1642.

The stunned father and grandfather said he always thought he’d win the lottery since he started playing decades ago.

“Honestly, I always thought I was going to win.

“Ever since I was in my 20s, I’ve thought, ‘one day I’m going to win’. It’s just taken a while,” he told an Oz Lotto official.

He says he’ll help his children pay their home mortgages with his newfound wealth, but also plans to splash some of the money on a motoring passion.

“A new car and caravan are what I want so we can do a few trips, maybe eventually do a lap around Australia,” he said.

His 18-game QuickPick entry was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The winning numbers last night in draw 1642 were 11, 32, 40, 42, 38, 29 and 34, while the supplementary numbers were 15, 3 and 47.

The other division one winning entry was from Queensland.

There are more chances to win big with tomorrow’s Powerball offering $12 million, while next Tuesday’s Oz Lotto has $3 million up for grabs.?
