UAE Lottery expands social impact drive with Zulekha Hospital worker wellness partnership

The UAE Lottery has teamed up with Zulekha Hospital on an orthopaedic workshop for workers in physically demanding roles, extending its H.O.P.E. social-impact programme beyond gaming.

The UAE Lottery has partnered with Zulekha Hospital to deliver a practical workshop aimed at supporting workers in labour-intensive jobs across the country. The session, titled “Stronger Body, Safer Work”, was held on April 30 at Berkeley UAE’s shared accommodation facilities and focused on injury prevention, posture, safer lifting and simple exercises to reduce workplace strain

The initiative formed part of H.O.P.E., the lottery operator’s corporate social responsibility platform, which stands for healthcare, opportunities, planet and enrichment. The programme is designed to support social and environmental initiatives across the country and to deliver wellbeing support directly to communities that can benefit from it.

Suzan Kazzi, associate director of CSR at Momentum Group, whose subsidiary (The Game LLC) operates The UAE Lottery, said: “At the UAE Lottery, Hope is about creating meaningful impact where it matters most. Hope is our CSR outreach program that focuses on health care, opportunities, the planet, and enrichment.

“Through this event with Zulekha Hospital, we aim at supporting the physical well-being of a community of workers who spend most of their days on their feet, lifting, moving, and carrying out demanding daily tasks. A workshop like the one we had today means investing in people’s health and quality of life.”
