Florida Lottery sees 890 big-ticket winners a day and 52 new millionaires so far this year

Florida Lottery players across the state claimed more than $353 million in prizes during the first three months of 2026, according to figures released by the agency on Monday.

From Jan. 1 through March 31, a total of 53,243 winning tickets valued at $600 or more were claimed statewide, with total payouts reaching approximately $353.4 million. The Florida Lottery reported an average of about 890 winners per day during the first quarter.

The period also produced 52 new millionaires, with wins coming from a combination of ScratchOff and draw games sold throughout Florida.

Florida Lottery Acting Secretary Reginald D. Dixon said ticket sales during the quarter continued to generate prize payouts while also supporting education funding.

“From exciting wins to life-changing prizes, every play contributes to something bigger,” Dixon said in a statement. “While we create winning moments for our players, we’re also proud to support education and invest in the future of students across Florida.”

In addition to prize awards, the Florida Lottery said it contributed $584 million to the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund during the first quarter. The fund supports education initiatives statewide, including the Bright Futures Scholarship Program, which has assisted more than one million students with tuition and educational expenses since its inception.

Scratch Off games accounted for the majority of prize payouts during the quarter, representing 74.61% of all prizes awarded, according to the Florida Lottery.
