With Primm Lotto store closing, ticket options near Las Vegas shrink

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Primm’s Lotto Store will be among the amenities closing in the small state line enclave, along with the three casino resorts and two travel centers.
The lottery spot, technically located in California, is owned by Affinity Gaming, which also operates Primm Valley Resort, Whiskey Pete’s and Buffalo Bill’s.
Nevada’s constitution forbids a state-sanctioned lottery, meaning anyone interested in purchasing tickets must visit California or Arizona.
Lying just across the state line, The Lotto Store in Primm has been a popular destination for anyone hoping to cash in on a major jackpot.
Without the store, only a handful of locations within an hour’s drive of Las Vegas still sell lottery tickets:
- Terrible’s on Yates Well Road, California
- Nipton Historical Village on Route 164, California
- Shell on Cima Road, California
- Last Stop Travel Center on US 93, Arizona
For those feeling more adventurous, multiple locations sell lottery tickets in Baker, California, and Kingman, Arizona.
