The winner of a ‘life-changing’ £1m lottery ticket is being sought – as yet unclaimed, it was bought in Co Tyrone last month

Northern Ireland’s newest millionaire could be hiding in Co Tyrone – not even knowing they’ve won a life-changing amount of money.
That’s because a winning EuroMillions lottery ticket scooping a cool £1m was bought there last month, but has yet to be claimed a fortnight on from the draw.
National Lottery operators are now asking people to check their records to see if they’re holding the vital docket, bearing the prize code ‘MBGT03608’.
Anyone possessing the ticket has 180 days to get the money; as the draw was on April 24, that gives them until October 21 to file a claim.

If the buyer has lost the ticket but thinks they have a genuine claim, they can still apply for the cash in writing to operators Allwyn, but must do so within 30 days of the draw – giving a deadline of May 24.
Allwyn’s senior winners advisor, Andy Carter, explained that the ticket could have been bought by a Co Tyrone resident, someone from outside the area visiting family or friends, or even just someone passing through who picked up the winning ticket on a whim.
“A lucky EuroMillions player is the winner of a life-changing £1m and doesn’t even know it,” he said. “We are on a mission to unite our lucky winner with their million-pound prize and are asking players to check their tickets.
“Were you in or around Co Tyrone in the week leading up to the 24 April draw? Do you live or work in the area, do you have family and friends there who you were visiting, or were you just passing through?
“We want to find this mystery ticket-holder and pay out their life-changing prize.”
Anyone who has who believes they have the winning ticket should call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 or email [email protected].
Allwyn has the discretion to pay prizes for stolen, lost or destroyed tickets; if the player can provide sufficient evidence, Allwyn will investigate and decide whether the claim is valid.
If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will be put towards helping National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
