North Iowans Win $600K with Lottery Scratchers, $100,000 Winner in St. Ansgar Still Unclaimed – KCHA News

A pair of north Iowa men have won a combined $600,000 with Iowa Lottery scratch tickets, while a $100,000 winning ticket sold in St. Ansgar two months ago remains unclaimed.

Stephen Leininger of Rockwell won a $300,000 prize with the “Ruby Red Crossword” scratch game ticket purchased at Jonesy’s Stop N Shop in Rockwell. Leininger claimed his prize Tuesday (08.25) at the lottery’s main office in Clive.

John Haley of Osage won the final top prize of $300,000 with the “Ruby Red Crossword” scratch game, purchasing his winning ticket at Casey’s in Osage. Haley claimed his prize Wednesday (08.26) at the lottery’s main office in Clive.

Meanwhile, according to the Iowa Lottery’s Unclaimed Prizes, as of 3 PM Thursday (08.27) no one has yet to come forward to claim a $100,000 Powerball ticket sold June 20th at Casey’s in Saint Ansgar. Whoever bought the ticket has until December 17th to claim their prize before it expires.

Other recent area lottery winners include Dan Kirkeby of Decorah, who won $39,000 with the MONOPOLY™ Game Tokens Progressive InstaPlay ticket purchased at a Kwik Star in Decorah. Ryan Bushbaum of Cedar Falls won $50,000 with a Powerball ticket he bought at a Kwik Star in Waverly.
