LONAGUI highlights lottery draw oversight and financial traceability in Guinea

Guinea’s national lottery says all draws are supervised, while certified IT security and traceable financial flows underpin its lottery and online betting operations.

Guinea.- Guinea’s National Lottery (LONAGUI) has highlighted draw supervision, IT security and financial traceability as key elements of its approach to transparency and integrity.

In an announcement on August 20, LONAGUI said “100 per cent of its lottery draws” are supervised by a bailiff (an official who formally witnesses and verifies proceedings), while the results are broadcast through local media. The national lottery also said its lottery and online betting systems use certified IT security protocols and that financial flows are fully traceable.

According to LONAGUI, these measures are intended to support the prompt payment of winners and the accurate redistribution of profits to the state. “Trust is not claimed: it is demonstrated with every draw,” LONAGUI said.

The lottery said transparency is not simply a regulatory requirement but one of its most valuable assets, adding that its governance is based on strict procedures designed to guarantee the fairness of its results.

LONAGUI linked its focus on operational integrity to the development of informal gaming offers and the rapid digitisation of gambling activity. It said these developments have made the integrity of operations an increasingly important consideration for bettors and institutions.

The national lottery has expanded its digital offering in recent years. LONAGUI says 2022 marked its entry into digital gaming, with the launch of its online gaming platform offering exclusive games. Its current portfolio includes lottery, PMU and sports betting.

The focus on transparency comes as LONAGUI pursues wider modernisation of its gaming operations. In July, the lottery joined PMU France talks in Paris on the future of horse-race betting, including international best practices and innovations for its PMU operations in Guinea.

LONAGUI’s official website also publishes lottery results and draw information, while its recent communications have continued to emphasise innovation and digital transformation in the gaming and lottery sector.
