LaPorte Powerball ticket splits $143.4 million jackpot prize

LAPORTE, Ind. (WNDU) – Two people are splitting the Powerball jackpot after Wednesday’s drawing, and one of those jackpot-winning tickets was sold in Michiana!
The Hoosier Lottery says the jackpot-winning ticket was sold at Al’s Supermarket on E. Lincolnway in LaPorte.
The winner will split the $143.4 million pot with another jackpot winner in Kansas, meaning both winners will take home nearly $72 million apiece.
The Powerball jackpot win was part of a historic night for the Hoosier Lottery, as 14 tickets worth $1 million and five tickets worth $2 million were also sold across Indiana for Wednesday night’s drawing.
The $1 million-winning Powerball tickets were sold in the following communities, with Michiana-area communities highlighted in bold:
- Angola (two winning tickets sold)
- Anderson
- Batesville
- Carmel
- Greenwood
- Eaton
- Fort Wayne
- Kendallville
- Michigan City
- Noblesville
- South Bend
- Spencer
- Warsaw
The $2-million winning Powerball with Power Play tickets were sold in Crawfordsville, Indianapolis (two winning tickets sold), North Vernon and Portage.
The winning Powerball numbers for Wednesday are: 3-19-35-51-67 with the Powerball of 15 and a Power Play of 2X. You can check your tickets with the free Hoosier Lottery Mobile App by downloading here.
