Powerball players have another chance to compete for one of the largest lottery prizes of the year as the jackpot for the Wednesday, Aug. 5, drawing has climbed to an estimated $786 million, with a cash option of approximately $341.6 million before taxes.

The prize reached this level after no ticket matched all six numbers in Monday night’s drawing.

Even if the jackpot is not won, matching fewer numbers can still result in prizes ranging from a few dollars to several million, depending on the combination matched and whether the Power Play option was selected.
