Northern Ireland’s ‘missing millionaire’ has finally been tracked down, with the Co Tyrone ticket-holder coming forward to claim their windfall.
The EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker guarantees to produce a millionaire in every single draw – however, the winner from the 24 April 2026 draw, who purchased their ticket in Co Tyrone, had gone months without claiming their fortune.
The fortunate player scooped their life-changing £1,000,000 prize by matching the millionaire maker code MBGT03608.
For each EuroMillions line played, UK participants automatically receive a EuroMillions Millionaire Maker code printed on their ticket, and the lucky winner had until 21 October 2026 to come forward and claim, reports Belfast Live.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: “We’re delighted to have been able to track down our missing winner.”
“What a brilliant win for this lucky player – just imagine the incredible summer this winner has ahead.
“We’ll now support the ticket-holder through the process so they can begin to enjoy their life-changing win.”
A National Lottery spokesperson confirmed that, as is standard procedure with all major prizes, the claim will now undergo validation, which incorporates checks to ensure the Games Rules Terms and Conditions are upheld and that the integrity of The National Lottery is safeguarded.
Once validated, the prize will subsequently be paid out at an appointment with one of Allwyn’s Winners’ Advisers. Once the ticket has been verified and the prize claimed, the ticket-holder will determine whether to go public and reveal their identity.
No details will be available regarding whether the winner is a single person or a group, or where the ticket was bought, unless the ticket-holder chooses to go public.
