THE date for the first UK Powerball draw has been announced, and tickets are already on sale.
America’s popular lottery game is launching on this side of the Atlantic, offering Brits a chance to win £300million.
The world’s biggest lottery launches in the UK this week, with huge cash prizes available.
From today, punters can get their hands on a Powerball ticket ahead of the first draw, which is set to take place on Thursday, July 23.
Ticket-holders will have the chance to win a staggering estimated £300million, the biggest jackpot ever offered to UK players so far.
And while the cash prizes may be bigger, so is the pool of players, with those in the US also competing for a chance to win the mega shared jackpot.
National Lottery operator Allwyn brought the game across the pond for UK players, marking the first time the game will be played outside of its home country.
Entry costs £4 a line, with tickets available to buy in-store or online before draws on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
The draws will take place around 4am (BST) the next morning – on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday – from the Powerball studio in Florida.
UK Powerball players will pick five main numbers ranging from 1 to 69, and one Powerball number from 1 to 26, or they can choose a Lucky Dip.
