‘A real difference’ as Accrington charity secures £60,000 People’s Postcode grant

Community Solutions North West said the £60,000 grant will make a ‘real difference’ and was awarded through People’s Postcode Lottery’s Millionaire Street funding programme.

The funding will provide crucial support for the charity’s day-to-day operations, helping ensure essential services remain available for local people facing a range of challenges.

Based in Accrington, Community Solutions North West offers wellbeing activities, community projects and practical support for people facing loneliness, and money problems.

Unlike many grants that are tied to specific projects, the funding will support the charity’s core running costs, allowing it to remain flexible and respond directly to the changing needs of the community.

Chris Emmerson, of Community Solutions North West, said: “We are incredibly grateful to People’s Postcode Lottery and the players whose support makes grants like this possible.

“Core funding is invaluable for charities because it allows us to keep our services running, support our dedicated staff and volunteers, and continue responding to the needs of our community.

“This £60,000 grant will make a real difference and help us continue supporting people across Hyndburn and East Lancashire.”

The latest funding boost will help ensure those services can continue at a time when many charities are facing increasing demand for support.

Community Solutions North West has also thanked People’s Postcode Lottery players, whose participation helps fund charitable organisations and community projects across the UK.

The charity says the grant will play an important role in helping it continue delivering support where it is needed most throughout Hyndburn and the wider East Lancashire area.
