A single ticket sold in North Texas matched all six numbers in a recent Lotto Texas drawing, making it worth an estimated $41 million, according to a Texas Lottery news release.
The jackpot-winning ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven at 3700 Interstate Highway 30 in Mesquite for the April 20 drawing, the release said.
The player used a Quick Pick selection and matched the winning numbers — 21, 28, 33, 34, 43 and 44 — to earn the top prize.
The winner has not yet claimed the prize. Under Texas Lottery rules, they have 180 days from the draw date to come forward, according to the release. That would make Oct. 17 the last day for the ticket holder to speak up.
The ticket was purchased with the cash value option, meaning the winner is expected to receive about $22.5 million before taxes rather than the full annuitized jackpot, the release said.
“Monday was an unforgettable night for one Lotto Texas player,” Texas Lottery Executive Director Courtney Arbour said in the release, urging the winner to sign the ticket, keep it secure and seek financial and legal advice before claiming the prize.
The jackpot had been building for months, starting at $5 million in November 2025 and rolling over 66 drawings before being won, according to the release.
In addition to the jackpot, thousands of other tickets won smaller prizes in the same drawing, according to the release.
Lotto Texas is the state’s original draw game, with jackpots that start at $5 million and grow until a player matches all six numbers.
The next Lotto Texas drawing is April 25, with the jackpot estimated at $5.25 million, according to the lottery’s web site.
