Residents on this Radcliffe street £1,000 richer after Postcode Lottery win

Every day, the Postcode Lottery draws random postcodes from across the UK, with winning players receiving a £1,000 prize.

Those living in the postcode M26 1EA are among today’s winners.

That postcode covers a number of properties on Ringley Road West in Radcliffe.

The announcement was made as part of the lottery’s daily prize draw, with organisers revealing that players in 20 postcodes across the country would each be celebrating £1,000 wins.

Players taking part in the Postcode Lottery sign up using their postcode and pay £12.50 per month to enter the draws, with prizes announced every day.

At least 30 per cent of ticket revenue goes to charities and good causes in the UK and beyond.

The Postcode Lottery also manages lotteries on behalf of a number of charitable organisations, helping to raise funds for projects supporting communities, health initiatives, environmental programmes and international aid efforts.

The latest win adds another chapter to a run of postcode lottery success stories across the borough in recent months.

Earlier this year, several Bury residents enjoyed substantial rewards after their postcodes were selected in different draws, including a remarkable week in which local players shared more than half a million pounds in prize money.

While the daily prize is far smaller than the six-figure sums handed out in some of the lottery’s larger draws, a £1,000 windfall will still come as welcome news for those fortunate enough to be taking part on Ringley Road West.

The prize follows previous postcode lottery success for Radcliffe residents, with players in the town having featured in recent draws.

The People’s Postcode Lottery says its players help support “a wide range of charities and good causes across Britain and around the world”.

Since launching, the lottery has raised billions of pounds for charitable organisations and community projects through ticket sales.

For the lucky players living in M26 1EA, however, the focus today will be on celebrating an unexpected cash boost.
