$1 million Powerball prize remains unclaimed as deadline nears

AUSTIN, Texas — A $1 million Powerball ticket sold in Austin for the Feb. 2 drawing remains unclaimed and is nearing its expiration date, according to the Texas Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K, located at 6107 W. Parmer Lane. It matched all five white ball numbers: 3, 8, 31, 60 and 65 — but not the Powerball number, 4.

The prize will expire on Saturday, Aug. 1, if it is not validated.

Ticket holders claiming the prize in person must do so at a Texas Lottery claim center by 5 p.m. local time Friday, July 31.

The prize may also be claimed by mail. The winning ticket and a completed claim form must be postmarked by Aug. 1 and mailed to:

The Texas Lottery said mailed claims may take up to four weeks to process.

A ticket holder forfeits any claim to a prize after the expiration of the 180th day following the drawing date. The deadline may be extended for certain eligible military personnel. Unclaimed prizes revert to the state for programs authorized by the Texas Legislature.
