Unclaimed North Carolina lottery tickets win $1.2 million in Saturday’s Powerball drawing

RALEIGH — Saturday’s Powerball drawing produced a $1 million prize on a ticket bought in Warrenton as well as a $200,000 winning ticket purchased in Johnston County. Neither prize was claimed as of Sunday morning.

The $1 million winner bought the lucky $2 ticket from Tobacco Plus located at 305 E Macon St., Suite D, East Macon St. in Warrenton. The ticket matched the numbers on all five white balls to win $1 million. The odds of matching numbers on all five white balls are 1 in 11.6 million.

The winner has 180 days from the time of the drawing to claim the prize.

The $200,000 $3 Power Play ticket was purchased at the Speedway at 1016 North Brightleaf Boulevard in Smithfield in Johnston County.

Monday’s Powerball drawing offers a $633 million jackpot, or $277.3 million in cash.

The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
