Woman in Manteca wins $2M on CA lottery scratchers ticket – AOL
(FOX40.COM) — A woman won $2 million after purchasing a winning scratchers ticket from a Manteca convenience store, the California Lottery said.
Allonda Woods purchased her winning Instant Prize Crossword ticket at the Circle K located at 2115 West Yosemite Avenue in Manteca. Lottery officials said Woods “spelled out millions” with the crossword-themed game.
Two other players also won $2 million playing Instant Prize Crossword. John Decker purchased his winning ticket at a Vons store in Inglewood, and Laura Brito bought her ticket at Lee’s Market in Los Angeles.
Another recent big winner was Eric Tend, who claimed a $1,564,348 Powerball prize after matching five numbers in the Sept. 6, 2025 drawing. Tend purchased his ticket at a Circle K store in Dublin, the Lottery said.
The payout for the Mega Millions jackpots continue to climb, with the current estimated jackpot nearing $300 million after no jackpot or second-place winners were recorded in the most recent drawing.
Proceeds from ticket sales help fund public education programs throughout California, including K-12 schools, colleges and career technical education programs.
