National Lottery bosses have confirmed that the big winner has yet to come forward
An urgent appeal has been issued to Irish Lotto players as The National Lottery have revealed the shop which sold a winning ticket worth over €145,000.
Saturday night’s Lotto draw proved life-changing for two lucky players who nabbed huge sums, with over 101,000 players in total winning prizes.
A lucky Dublin player is enjoying a memorable Bank Holiday weekend after they won the staggering €8,726,418 jackpot up for grabs in the main Lotto draw.
The lucky ticketholder is set to take home the jaw-dropping sum after matching all six numbers plus the bonus in last night’s main Lotto draw. The winning combination was 1, 7, 27, 28, 34, 42 with bonus number 26.
Meanwhile, a player in Westmeath also had a Saturday night to remember after matching five numbers and the bonus to win an incredible €146,878.
The National Lottery has confirmed that the Midlands player purchased their winning Quick Pick ticket on Thursday (April 30) at The Grove Service Station in Baylough, Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
Lotto players in Dublin and Westmeath are now being urged to check their tickets from last night’s draw to see if they have bagged a huge prize.
National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr had the following advice for players: “What a weekend it’s been for National Lottery players all over the country!
“A Lotto player in Dublin has officially become Ireland’s newest millionaire after winning Saturday night’s Lotto jackpot worth an impressive €8,726,418.
“We are encouraging all of our players in the Capital to carefully check their tickets today as one player now holds the title of second Lotto jackpot winner of 2026.”
“Saturday night’s draw also saw a Westmeath player win €146,878 after matching five numbers and the bonus in the main draw.
“Over 101,000 players nationwide won prizes across the Lotto and Plus draws on Saturday night, including the Dublin and Westmeath winners. The two biggest winners of the night are advised to sign the back of their tickets and keep them safe.
“They should contact the Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to visit Lottery Headquarters to collect their prizes.”
