There is a £7.3m triple rollover jackpot and a £500,000 top prize in Thunderball
A triple rollover jackpot is giving the National Lottery Lotto draw extra spice tonight (Saturday, August 9).
It’s a bumper top prize of £7.3m and comes after previous jackpots proved elusive for players.
Many will be day-dreaming about what that kind of fortune could be spent on if they get the six main numbers.
For some, it would be instant gratification with luxury holidays, fine dining and house and car upgrades.
Others may play a longer game and look for wise financial investments.

Winning Lotto numbers: 2, 27, 29, 38, 44, 51. Bonus ball: 23
Winning Thunderball numbers: 16, 25, 28, 31, 33. Thunderball: 10
What happened on Saturday?
A single ticket-holder won the £7.3 million jackpot in the Lotto draw.
One player matched all six main numbers to win the top prize of £7,394,521.
A total of 39 players won a smaller prize of £1,750 by matching five of the six numbers in the draw.
The result means Wednesday’s estimated jackpot is £2m.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at the National Lottery operator Allwyn, said: “Wow, it’s an exciting time for Lotto players as one lucky ticket-holder has won tonight’s fantastic £7.3 million Lotto jackpot prize.
“What a fantastic win just in time for a last-minute summer holiday. Players are urged to check their tickets and to give us a call if they think they are tonight’s lucky winner.”
In Thunderball, nobody matched all five numbers plus the Thunderball to scoop the £500,000 top prize, but two ticket-holders matched all five regular numbers to win £5,000 each.
It costs £2 per ticket to play for the Lotto. You can buy a ticket throughout the week, but on draw days – Saturday and Wednesday – until 7.30pm.
And if you want more games to play, there is also EuroMillions every Tuesday and Friday and the Set for Life game on Mondays and Thursdays.
While the Thunderball draw takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, with a £500,000 top prize.
