A solo parent got a lucky break after he bet the remaining 50 pesos in his pocket to win the almost P35 million jackpot prize of Lotto 6/42.
In a recent statement from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, the lone winner of the Lotto 6/42 on May 2, 2026 is from Negros Occidental.
According to the bettor, he was at the market and had just finished buying products he would sell in his sari-sari store when he decided to use his remaining P50 to buy a lotto ticket.
But despite using his favorite number combination, he instead chose to make a Lucky Pick, which gave him the winning number combination of 22-34-42-19-03-25.
“Parang hindi totoo noong una (At first it did not seem real),” the lucky winner said after he learned he won the jackpot 15 years since he began playing lotto.
The lucky winner said he plans to use his winnings for his business, his children’s education, and the future of his family.
