UK Powerball jackpot hits a huge £444million as rollover nears historic record
THE National Lottery’s UK Powerball has now climbed to a staggering £444million as the massive money rollover nears a historic record.
Officially introduced on July 22, the world’s biggest rolling lottery is now well into its fourth week in the UK.
After no claims were made for the £411million jackpot on Thursday (August 6), the prize has surged to a massive £444million.
Today’s draw is set to mark the 41st consecutive prize rollover.

The jackpot is now well within the standing to become the largest National Lottery win ever awarded in the UK, with the current record a comparably measly £195Million, won in 2022.
Players have until 11.55pm on Saturday (August 8) to buy a ticket from either a National Lottery vendor or online, for their chance to claim the mega prize.
At just £4 a ticket, all you need to do is select five numbers from 1 to 69, plus one Powerball number from 1 to 26.
If all the numbers match – including the Powerball – then the multi-million prize will be all yours.
Although, if multiple winners match the numbers across all participating countries, in this case the UK and US, then the jackpot will be split among them.
Andy Carter, the senior winner’s advisor at Allwyn, operator of the National Lottery, said: “This kind of win isn’t just life-changing, it’s potentially generation-changing.”
So far, more than 491,662 prizes have been won, ranging anywhere from £8 to £70,195.50.
Currently, the largest Powerball jackpot won this year has been $250million (£185million) claimed in Arkansas in March.
