Two Bury residents wake up £250,000 richer after Postcode Lottery win

The anonymous players will be celebrating this morning after pocketing £250,000 each in the Postcode Lottery’s bumper monthly prize.

The pair were the only winners when the bumper windfall landed in BL8 2AZ on Saturday, March 28, and every ticket was worth a quarter of a million pounds.

Lottery ambassador Matt Johnson was delighted to share news of the double win on Railway Street.

He said: “Huge congratulations to both of our winners. I’m absolutely overjoyed for them.

“I hope they have plenty of fun spending their winnings and celebrate in style.”     

Subscriptions to the postcode lottery support a range of charities across the UK. 

The People’s Postcode Lottery manages lotteries for 20 charities, with each one having one draw a month.

It is licensed and regulated by the Gambling Commission.

The lottery supports “a wide range of charities and good causes across Britain and around the world”.

To date, they’ve provided more than £1.5 billion in funding which is helping thousands of organisations and projects.

People’s Postcode Lottery costs £12.50 a month to play and there are guaranteed winners every day.

People play with their chosen postcode and are automatically entered into all draws. 

This prize was promoted on behalf of Postcode Global Trust which supports charities such as WaterAid, Médecins Sans Frontières, and Sightsavers.
