TWO Aussies scoop $3.1mil Saturday Lotto windfall

Two lucky Australians are $3.1 million richer this weekend thanks to Saturday evening’s Lotto draw.

The two winners pocketed a life-changing $3,127,800.49 each in the division one draw.

Luck finally headed over to WA in division two, as three West Aussie players won a sizeable $9,971.60 each.

A whopping 153 West Aussies also won $1,066.75 each thanks to division three.

The winning numbers were 16, 31, 43, 12, 40, and 30.

The supplementary numbers were 25 and 26.

The Saturday Lotto draw comes just one day after a Mid West grandmother took home $50,000 thanks to a Word Play game.

The Geraldton woman was bought the ticket by her husband, and upon finding out she’d won, decided to take her whole family to the Chinese restaurant where the pair went on their first date.

It’s a ritual for the woman’s husband to purchase a scratchie from Sunset News and Lotto, where he purchased the winning game.

“He will go down to the newsagents to get the newspaper and the scratchies, and I’ll put a coffee on,” the woman said.

“We are a bit competitive with each other as we will have a little win every now and then. . .I really won this time!”
