Texas Lottery $41 million winner had been playing lottery for 30 years – AOL

A Texan is going to travel the world after winning the Texas Lotto jackpot prize of $41 million.

A Richardson resident claimed the money for the drawing held on April 20, according to a news release from the Texas Lottery. The winning Quick Pick ticket purchased at a 7-Eleven Convenience Store matched all six of the numbers drawn (21-28-33-34-43-44).

The claimant — who wished to remain anonymous — said they had been playing the lottery for three decades before winning the big prize. After matching all numbers, lottery officials revealed the claimant said, “I stayed up all night thinking about it!”

When asked what they may do with the winnings, the claimant shared that they look forward to using theprize to help their children and grandchildren, along with making time to travel, adding, “There’s a wholeworld out there I need to see!”

Seven Bridges Revocable Trust, of Fredericksburg, claimed its share of an estimated $1.8 billion Powerball Grand Prize that was advertised for the drawing held on Sept. 6, 2025.

The claimant chose the cash value option at the time of purchase and received $410,324,470.28 before taxes, marking a new record for the largest prize ever paid out to a single Texas Lottery player.
