Small Texas town sells almost $2 million winning lottery ticket
In the tiny Texas town of Kosse, a lottery winner took home $1,825,000 after Monday’s Texas Two Step drawing.
Kosse is about 115 miles southeast of Dallas and has a population of fewer than 500.
The winning Texas Two Step ticket was bought at a convenience store in Kosse, with the numbers 4 15 19 20 22. The winning numbers were a 4-of-4 match, including the bonus ball.
Kosse was not the only small Texas town to produce a massive lottery winner Monday. Buchanan Dam, a lakeside city with a population of about 1,500 people, produced a $250,000 All or Nothing lottery winner.
About 215 miles southwest of Dallas, the winning ticket was purchased at an Indian Hills Stop and Go convenience store.
Texas Two Step lottery tickets cost $1 and are sold at gas stations, convenience stores, grocery stores and other Texas Lottery-approved locations.
Lottery players select four numbers and one bonus ball number from 1 to 35, or can select “Quick Pick” to have their numbers randomly generated. Texas Two Step drawings occur every Monday and Thursday at 10:12 p.m.
After Kosse won, the Texas Two Step jackpot is back down to $200,000 for the next drawing Thursday.
