SC lottery officials say $200k in unclaimed Powerball prizes expire next week

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — Three unclaimed Powerball tickets worth a combined $200,000 will expire next week, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.
The tickets, one worth $100,000 and two worth $50,000, were purchased in September.
The $100,000 ticket was sold at Cheapway on Shop Road in Columbia.
Two $50,000 tickets were sold at Hot Spot on E. Poinsett St. in Greer, and at A Plus on Red Bank Road in Goose Creek.
All three tickets matched four of five white ball numbers and the red Powerball number. The Columbia ticket added PowerPlay, doubling the prize to $100,000.
The Goose Creek ticket must be claimed by Monday, March 2.
The Columbia and Greer tickets must be claimed by Thursday, March 5.
Tickets must be redeemed at the lottery’s Columbia Claims Center by 4 p.m. on the expiration date or postmarked by that date if mailed.
If the prizes are not claimed, the money will be deposited into the state’s Education Lottery Account to support education programs.
