Record-breaking $408,972 North 5 jackpot split between two winning tickets sold in Mankato and Newport

ST. PAUL, Minn. (Valley News Live) — Two Minnesota Lottery players made history Wednesday night, splitting the largest North 5 jackpot since the game launched.
The record-breaking $408,972 jackpot was split between winning tickets sold in Mankato and Newport, with each winner taking home $204,486. The winning numbers drawn Wednesday, Aug. 6 were 06, 18, 20, 22 and 23.
The Mankato ticket was sold at Hy-Vee at 220 Poplar St. The Newport ticket was sold at Winners Corner at 1594 Hastings Ave. Each retailer earns a $1,000 bonus for selling a winning ticket.
The next North 5 jackpot is worth an estimated $25,000. Drawings are held daily at 6:17 p.m.
Winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prize. Lottery prizes above $50,000 must be claimed in person at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville. Prizes of $50,000 and below can be claimed by mail or at any regional office.
