Publix, Miami stores sold Tuesday lottery winners. Powerball jackpot: $1 billion

A Publix lottery player won over $1 million Tuesday, and four other jackpot winners from Miami to Tampa hold jackpot-winning tickets worth five figures.

But even a stack of all that cash would be dwarfed by Wednesday’s 10-figure Powerball jackpot. That estimated $1 billion jackpot along with the Florida Lotto and Fantasy 5 games could make for some long lottery lines Wednesday late afternoon and evening.

As for Tuesday, the biggest winner picked up a Jackpot Triple Play Quick Pick ticket at a Vero Beach Publix, 2040 58th Ave. that had 1, 6, 18, 34, 37 and 43. That sextet made the ticket worth $1.5 million.

A Fantasy 5 player at a Tampa area Publix, 8975 Race Track Rd., chose 13, 21, 30, 33 and 35 for Tuesday evening’s draw. The machine at a West Miami-Dade Stop N’ Shop, 12210 SW Eighth St., put the same numbers on a Quick Pick ticket. Each evening draw ticket won $51,452 for its holder.

Earlier Tuesday, the Fantasy 5 midday draw came up 4, 10, 19, 25 and 28. A player at the North Miami-Dade Mobil station on the corner of Northwest 103rd Street and 27th Avenue held a Quick Pick ticket with those fortunate numbers. Someone in Sebastian chose those five numbers while playing at a Cumberland Farms, 957 Sebastian Blvd. Those tickets are worth $26,866 each.

The Fantasy 5 winning tickets must be redeemed at one of the Florida Lottery district offices throughout the state. The Miami office is in Miami Lakes, 14621 Oak Ln., and can be reached at MIARC@flalottery.com or 305-364-3080. Being over $1 million, the Jackpot Triple Play winner, according to the Florida Lottery website, must be cashed at the main office in Tallahassee.

Offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Appointments can be made, but aren’t necessary.
