Plainfield store sells $10.25 million winning Lotto ticket
The winner of a $10.25 million Lotto jackpot purchased the winning ticket at a Plainfield grocery store.
The ticket was bought at Tony’s Fresh Market, 2300 S. Illinois Route 59 in Plainfield, and matched all six numbers in the Saturday Lotto drawing: 1-14-19-21-43-50.
“My assistant sent me a screenshot from the Illinois Lottery website showing that our store sold the jackpot-winning ticket,” John Moorehouse, store director at Tony’s Fresh Market, said in a news release from the Illinois Lottery. “It’s incredibly exciting. Of course, I wish I had been the one to buy it.”
For selling the jackpot-winning ticket, Tony’s Fresh Market will receive a $102,500 selling bonus – 1% of the prize amount.
“We don’t know who the lucky winner is, but many of our regular customers play Lotto here,” Moorehouse said. “We’re all hoping the winner is someone from our local community.”
The lucky ticket holder has one year from the date of the drawing to claim the $10.25 million prize.
This marks the sixth Lotto prize of $1 million or more won by an Illinois Lottery player in 2026, continuing a year of big wins across the state.
