One lucky player bags R100 million lotto jackpot | The Witness

One lucky player has bagged a staggering R100 644 721.10 from Wednesday night’s National Lottery South Africa Lotto draw.
Operator ITHUBA said it is still waiting for the winner to come forward and claim the multi-million rand prize.
South Africans who played Wednesday’s draw have been urged to check their tickets.

Ahead of the draw, the Lotto jackpot had climbed to an estimated R100 million, with Lotto Plus 1 estimated at R1.5 million and Lotto Plus 2 at R4.5 million.
“Anticipation is building as Mzansi prepares to try their luck in one of the biggest LOTTO draws of the year,” ITHUBA said ahead of the draw.
ITHUBA CEO Charmaine Mabuza said the National Lottery continued to create opportunities for South Africans to “dream bigger”.
Other winners
Two South Africans have bagged multi-million-rand jackpots in the National Lottery in April.
ITHUBA, operator of the South African National Lottery, confirmed that one winner struck it big in LOTTO PLUS 1, while another walked away with an even larger prize in LOTTO PLUS 2 during draw 2638 on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

The LOTTO PLUS 1 jackpot of R9,945,027.10 was won off a R100 wager using the manual selection method.
Meanwhile, the LOTTO PLUS 2 jackpot of R22,308,590.70 came from an R80 ticket selected via the quick pick option.
Both winning tickets were purchased through banking platforms, highlighting the growing shift towards digital participation in the lottery.
