North Carolina woman wins $1,073,621 jackpot after playing 50 cents – AOL

STANLY COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Angela Collins, of Stanfield, won a $1,073,621 jackpot, according to an NC Education Lottery news release.

Collins played for 50 cents on May 11 and won the Power Jackpot in the PowerMax Cash game.

The odds of her winning are 1 in 300 million.

She claimed her prize on Thursday at the lottery headquarters.

After required federal and state tax withholdings, she took home $773,115.

In the PowerMax Cash digital instant game, a player can play from 50 cents to $50.

The game features two progressive jackpots that can be won at any time.

During the Power Hours, the two jackpots combine.
